We have developed Zelo on the Amazon Web Services platform based on our years of working on scalable enterprise security requirements. AWS utilizes Amazon’s expansive expertise designing, operating and scaling enterprise software, networks and systems. In addition, we have developed an added layer of security above and beyond what AWS has provided including firewalls, system monitoring and user authentication.

As a cloud services provider, Zelo is committed to maintaining the standards necessary for safeguarding customer data and an excellent service operation. We have established our SOC 2 Type 2 compliance and certification and have a regular SOC 2 auditing process to evaluate and maintain our standards and certifications.

Zelo is committed to maintaining GDPR compliance and enabling our customers to do the same in connection with the use of our platform. Our Data Processing Agreement and Privacy Statement are available for review.

The Zelo team appreciates that many businesses have different requirements for user authentication. To that end, we have implemented both single sign-on and multi-factor authentication.

Zelo utilizes 256bit encryption for all data at rest and in transit. In addition, all customer traffic is handled using a secure HTTPS with TLS v1.2 (or higher) network connection.

All customer data is stores on scalable and secure AWS databases and encrypted with AES-256 at rest and during transfer. All network connections in and out of Zelo are securely encrypted with SSL.

Zelo has automated vulnerability scanning performed on the platform at regular intervals. The results are monitored, and changes are made within minutes of an issue being identified.

Customer and system data are backed up daily to allow for restoration of data. Back-up locations can be specified by region to assure that the data is always available in the event of a wide-spread catastrophe.

The Zelo team follows industry standard development and quality assurance practices. Extensive testing is completed prior to any code release to assure that Zelo is maintained to the standards our customers expect. This includes coding reviews, manual and automated testing.
